FALL OPEN STUDIO TOUR

Over 220 artist studios in Tucson and Pima County are
open to the public Saturday & Sunday, November 13 & 14, 2010
11:00 am to 5:00 pm

This free, self-guided tour provides an up close and personal look into the unique creative process of 222 Pima County artists. Visit artists of every kind: bookmakers, sculptors, photographers, ceramic artists, fiber artists, metal smiths, glass blowers, and painters. See artworks in every stage, from start to finish. Explore what lies behind the creative process, and learn about our very own vibrant arts scene.


Printed Program
Naturally, you won't be able to visit every studio, so review the online and/or printed program and look for what you like. The printed program will appear in the November issue of Zocalo magazine. To learn more about Zocalo go to www.TheZMag.com. All of the studios are interesting and quite different from one another. The artists create a welcoming atmosphere for their visitors, and are happy to answer questions.


Preview Exhibition
This is a spectacular show and we invite the public to join us as our guests to collectively view the work of the tour's 222 artists. Plan your tour with a comprehensive preview exhibit. This year TPAC is excited and honored to collaborate with the Tucson Jewish Community Center (TJCC) to present the show. The center is very beautiful and the gallery space is flooded with natural light creating an expansive and dramatic setting for the art. The center is open to the public to view the exhibition: Mon-Thu 5:30am-10pm; Fri 5:30am-6pm; Sat 7am-6pm; Sun 7am-8pm



The objectives of the TPAC Open Studio Tour are:

    •  To assist Pima County artists in marketing their work
    •  To increase public awareness of the quality and diversity of art created in our community
    •  To promote educational experiences for attendees, who meet artists and see them at work
